I mainly use 2 types of wood:

• Lime is mainly used for the head carving
• Hand chosen Hazel is used for the actual stick
• The eyes are made from glass
• The paint I use is water colours
• I seal the sticks with a cellulose based sealer for durability
• The shaft of the stick is polished with beeswax

I have used other materials such as Holly and Blackthorn
