Information regarding carvings of world animals
These sticks are a little more diverse as some of the carvings are not uniquely animals native to the UK. The elephant carving that you can see in the picture below actually ended up mounted on a plaque and not a stick, this was a special commission.
A great deal of time is spent researching the colour variations and dimensional aspects of all the carvings we make so as to the enhance the visually eyecatching realism of the carvings. I find that if you can "see it in your mind" then it is a great attribute to have when carving animals domestic or wild.
